The Surface Pro 3’s screen is slightly larger than the typical tablet’s at 12.1-inch, but the extra wriggle room makes all the difference in turning it into a proper laptop replacement.

It doesn’t come with an external keyboard, however, so users have to either pair it with the matching Type Cover or invest in a third party keyboard and mouse setup. The former clips to the Surface Pro 3 magnetically and combines a protective cover with a full-sized backlit keyboard and trackpad, In tablet mode, the digital pen functionality works extremely well for sketching and taking notes using the free OneNote app. Various configurations of the Surface Pro 3 are available with Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and up to 512GB of storage.
