Telstra has been recognising Australian businesses since 1992 with the Business Awards program. This year showcased a strong field of entrepreneurs and innovators, Smarter profiles the five winners

“The role of small and medium businesses (SMEs) in building our economy is as important as ever.

Despite fluctuations in the global and local economies, changes in technology, government policies and consumer behaviours, SMEs remain the cornerstone of our community.

I am honoured to have heard the stories of finalists and winners first-hand – these adventurous and ambitious people have embraced opportunities to build their businesses.

The winners come from different locations, industries and experiences, yet as a group they share an entrepreneurial spirit and a caring for customers, staff and community.

After 22 years of the Telstra Business Awards, Telstra remains committed to the success of the Australian business community.”
